Dr. Kara Gulewicz is a pioneer in the field for the use of ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy for a multitude of psychiatric disorders. She has created a comprehensive treatment plan using Ketamine Therapy to treat complex trauma cases as well to help clients withdraw from their pharmaceutical medications. 

Kara attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis where she obtained both her M.D. and her masters in Biology and Biomedical Sciences. She subsequently trained in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital and has been in private practice for multiple years treating depression, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, ADHD, substance use disorders, bipolar disorder, and complex trauma-related conditions.

She now works in private practice and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is an expert in anxiety disorders, love addiction, and issues specific to the LGBTQ+ community. Kara employs modalities which include CBT/DBT oriented therapy, humanistic practices, and traditional psychoanalytic techniques.
